Theatres

Lismore Base Hospital’s modern Operating Theatre Suite comprises eight general operating theatres, three recovery areas, and two Endoscopy Theatres. The team of experienced surgeons provide a range of emergency and elective surgeries including general, obstetric, orthopaedic, urology, ENT, dental, gynaecology, and vascular surgery in a modern, state-of-the-art Hybrid Theatre.

Day of Surgery/Endoscopy

The Day of Surgery/Endoscopy unit caters to all elective surgical patients, excluding those needing to be admitted the day before surgery for medical reasons. The unit prepares patients for surgery, endoscopy and radiological interventional procedures.

This includes day surgery cases, Endoscopy, and interventional radiology procedures where the patient needs time to recover before they can go home.

Hours of Service: 6.30am to 8pm (Mon-Fri). Closed Public Holidays

Pre-Admission Clinic

The Pre-Admission Clinic at Lismore Base Hospital currently provides pre-admission anaesthetic assessment of patients attending Lismore, Ballina and Casino hospitals for elective surgical procedures.

Hours of Service: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Closed Public Holidays
