EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Renal (kidney) services are available across our district and provide both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for our communities and for people visiting the region.

There are two main renal services located at Tweed and Lismore, with services also available at Grafton, Ballina and Murwillumbah.

Services also include chronic disease management, vascular access, Kidney-options pathway management, as well as access to a team of nurses and doctors who will ensure you get the care you need.

The unit can also provide home dialysis services for suitable patients. This includes all required training, equipment and support for both peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis in your own home.

Hear from some of our patients who are doing their own dialysis in the comfort of their own homes.

Alby: 7 years of home dialysis

Corey: Home dialysis training

Reyna: More independence with home dialysis
