The Needle Syringe Program (NSP) is a public health measure aimed at reducing the spread of blood-borne viruses such as HIV, Hep B and Hep C among people who inject drugs (PWID).
The Tweed Valley Hospital Harm Reduction Service is located at the Health Hub and includes:
- Harm Reduction/NSP Service (open Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri from 12:30pm - 4:00pm)
- 24-hour access to a range of free and paid equipment via chutes and vending machines
- 24-hour sharps safe-disposal bin
