EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

TVH-open-day

Yamba IWD womens health check event

In the spirit of empowering women and to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March, the LHD provided health information sessions for women across the Northern Rivers.

Staff at Urbenville MPS are doing their bit to help start conversations around mental health and suicide prevention. Thanks to their flash TradeMutt ‘Where’s Wallaby’ scrubs, the team are boosting connection among their colleagues and patients.

Our new first year Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) have come from near and far, choosing the Northern Rivers to begin their medical careers (some grew up locally and are returning “home”).

This week we welcomed our first cohorts of new graduate nurses and midwives to our District for 2024. In total, we’ll be welcoming more than 190 new grads this year– our largest group ever!
