Sasha Harrington is a proud Bundjalung and Torres Strait Islander woman. In September 2023 she joined the Northern NSW LHD as Aboriginal Health Engagement and Governance Manager.

Patients at Byron Central Hospital are feeling the love after the Byron Bay Hospital Auxiliary generous donated two separate gifts of equipment thanks to funds raised throughout the year.

To commemorate National Palliative Care Week, the LHD’s end-of-life committee delivering a six-month program of End-of-Life Essentials (EOLE) education.

The training resources are aimed at all clinicians who provide end-of-life care.

A new buggy is helping outpatients and visitors get around the new Tweed Valley Hospital.

The six-seater buggy has been made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Lions Club of Kingscliff and the Australian Lions Foundation.

It has been a long time coming, but the MPS sites now have their own bus to transport aged care residents on local outings. Exciting times!
