EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Our Occupational Therapy team assess people’s ability to carry out their usual activities and help them to overcome any difficulties they may have.  People may find it harder to do their usual activities due to the aging process, illness, an accident, surgery, or a disability.

When working with adults we focus on your normal roles and activities, and your home environment to improve and maintain your independence, safety, and quality of life. Services are provided in hospitals, community health centres, and in your home.  We also have an Equipment Loan Pool for people to hire equipment for short periods of up to two months.

Our Paediatric Occupational Therapist sees children from birth to six years old, and their family and carers, with a focus on child development, moving skills, thinking skills, and the way the child understands information from different senses. We also prescribe equipment and recommend modifications to the home or school environment for children experiencing difficulties with their movement and mobility.

Hours of Service: 8am to 4.30pm, every second Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
