The Ballina Inpatient Rehabilitation and Transitional Care Unit is a 37-bed Unit providing an intensive interdisciplinary program to enable early transfer of care from an acute facility to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
Our primary goal is to help patients with impairment, activity limitation or health-related restriction to improve their function. This may include stroke, orthopaedic conditions, reconditioning, neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and congenital conditions or disability.
Rehabilitation care is delivered under the guidance of a specialist rehabilitation clinician with individualised interdisciplinary management plans developed in consultation with the patient and their family.
