pod outreach

Our Disaster Recovery Team (DRT) clinicians and Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) Coordinators have been supporting communities at various temporary pod villages in our area, hosting barbecues for residents and staff.

Eight more staff from across the LHD have now earned their stripes as qualified Violence Prevention and Management (VPM) Trainers after doing the 5-day VPM ‘Train the Trainer’ course in mid-August.

Celebrating 120 years

Earlier this month, Murwillumbah District Hospital commemorated 120 years of health care, hosting a week of history and celebration which culminated in a BBQ for staff and family members on 14 September.
