Our Child and Family Health Nurses provide a range of services including:

  • Developmental screening for children from birth to five years of age
  • Home visits for new babies and follow ups
  • Breastfeeding, maternal and infant nutrition support
  • Immunisations
  • Family health and welfare
  • Parenting support
  • Child health and development, including sleep and settling

We accept referral from individuals, maternity and health services, non-government agencies and other health professionals.

The Child and Family Counselling Service (CFCS) works with children aged 0-12 years and their families and carers, providing interventions to improve your health, well-being and functioning.

The CFCS provides both primary and specialist secondary care for children with more severe and complex psychological presentations.

We provide assistance for dealing with a range of behavioural difficulties, stress, anxiety and mood related problems. Where possible, the Child and Family Counselling Service works together with schools and pre-schools.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation program involves a team of health professionals working to help you manage your heart condition. We provide individual cardiac assessment and education focused on reducing cardiac disease risk factors, monitoring and managing your condition and improving your health.

Our program is managed by the Cardiac Liaison Nurse in conjunction with our Physiotherapy Department and Exercise Physiologist.

The program is suitable for most people living with or at risk of heart disease and those recovering from medical or surgical intervention.

The Northern NSW Local Health District has a range of services aimed at helping you make positive changes to your alcohol and drug use. These include:

* Individual counselling support to reduce or stop your drug/alcohol use

* Hospital consultation and liaison for those at risk of alcohol or drug withdrawal (available at Tweed, Ballina, Lismore, and Grafton hospitals)

* The Riverlands Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at Lismore Base Hospital - medicated withdrawal from drugs or alcohol

We provide antenatal and postnatal care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, partners of Aboriginal men, and their families who reside in the Casino, Tabulam and Bonalbo areas.

We accept referrals from families, General Practitioners, Obstetricians, Midwives and other health care workers. Individuals can also self-refer Find out more about Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Health Services.

This clinic provides diabetes education and care co-ordination for Aboriginal clients aged 18 years and over.

Clients will need a written referral from their GP.

Iluka Community Health provides a range of community based nursing and allied health services. 

Nearby Services: Maclean District Hospital is 33kms away.

Parking: Free onsite parking is available, as well as accessible parking. 

 

The Women’s Health Clinic provides a wide range of services for women, including cervical screening testing, breast checks, pregnancy testing and advice, postnatal checks, post termination checks, continence assessment, and limited Sexual Transmitted Infection (STI) screening.

Our Women’s Health Nurses can provide information on sexual health, reproductive health, menstruation, menopause, osteoporosis, relationship and lifestyle issues and contraception, as well as group or individual education programs.

Our sexual assault service provides a 24-hour crisis response team for children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual assault, indecent assault, or attempted sexual assault.

We also provide counselling and forensic medical assessment and care immediately after sexual assault and in the following weeks and months.

We provide information and support for non-offending parents, carers, partners, siblings or family members of children or adults who have been affected by sexual assault.
