The Coronary Care Unit comprises five hard-wired monitored beds and can also provide mobile Telemetry monitoring. Patients with a primary diagnosis of Acute Coronary Syndrome who require advanced clinical assessment, arrhythmia recognition, and emergency intervention are admitted to the CCU under the care of specialist physicians.

The unit is staffed by highly skilled nurses with specialist qualifications who provide a team approach to comprehensive cardiac care in a comfortable, safe environment.
