Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit

Our 20-bed Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit allows patients to transition smoothly from hospital back into the community. We have a Rehabilitation Staff Specialist who sees all patients accepted for referral. Our Day Hospital and Outpatient service provides a multi-disciplinary team approach, including access to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Social Work services.

Medical Ward

Our Medical ward is a 19-bed unit that provides care for patients within the catchment area as well as out-of-district tertiary hospitals. The medical ward can provide telemetry heart monitoring for patients with non-life threatening cardiac conditions. We provide compassionate end-of-life patient-centred palliative care for those in our community. Patients requiring specialist services will be transferred to Tweed Valley Hospital or another facility.

Renal Dialysis Unit

The Renal Dialysis Unit has five treatment spaces operating Monday to Saturday from 7am to 1pm. The unit provides services to patients within our local catchment area and offers holiday haemodialysis when spaces are available. Appointments and bookings can be made through Tweed Valley Hospital Renal Unit. For enquiries about holiday dialysis, please phone (02) 6677 3022.
