EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Do you want to quit smoking or vaping?

Free Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), like patches, gum, lozenges, inhalators and spray, can be useful to help you quit. If you are registered with ‘Closing the Gap’, your doctor can write you a script for free NRT.

Calling the Quitline

The Quitline is a free, over the phone, seven-days- a-week support service to help you quit the smokes. You can call the line for free on 13 78 48. When you call, ask to speak to an Aboriginal counsellor.

Find out more about going smoke-free. Visit QUIT.
