Positions are offered at the following locations:

Byron Central Hospital, Murwillumbah District Hospital and Tweed Valley Hospital 

Graduates can request opportunities in a range of specialties including:

  • Intensive Care
  • Emergency Department
  • Operating Theatre
  • Cancer Care Unit
  • Medical Inpatient Unit
  • Surgical Inpatient Unit
  • Assessment and Rehabilitation

Some allocations will also include rotations through Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs to compliment the transition experience.


Byron Central Hospital

Byron Central Hospital is a community public hospital providing a range of services including:

  •  Emergency services
    • Mental health
    • Birthing and maternity services
    • Ambulatory and allied health services

 


Murwillumbah District Hospital

Murwillumbah HospitalMurwillumbah District Hospital is a local community hospital established in 1903 that hospital provides the local community with a range of services. Services provided:

  • Emergency
  • General Medicine
  • Rehabilitation
  • Aged Care
  • Day Surgery

Tweed Valley HospitalTweed Valley Hospital

Tweed Valley Hospital is a regional referral Level 5 base hospital, working closely with hospitals in Northern NSW and tertiary hospitals in Southern Queensland to support the healthcare needs of the community. Services include:

  • Acute and emergency care
  • Surgical services
  • Women’s care and newborn services
  • Intensive Care
  • Coronary Care
  • Mental Health inpatient facilities
  • Aboriginal Health
  • Allied Health Outpatient Clinics
