Where to from here-career opportunities, speciality programs, employment opportunities

The Tweed Hospital offers 2nd yr graduate programs in the following areas:

  • Intensive Care
  • Emergency Department
  • Operating Theatre

Accommodation

Successful candidates will need to source their own accommodation. There are opportunities in Tweed Heads or the surrounding villages and towns along the coast or across the boarder into Queensland.

Social Activities

There are a range of social activities available throughout the Tweed/Byron network, the Gold Coat and in near by Brisbane ranging from restaurants, theatres and services clubs to outdoor activities.

The Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast offer beaches, rivers and mountains for those who favour outdoor life.

With Surfers Paradise only 30 minutes drive away and Brisbane just over one hour there is a great deal of social activities to choose from.

Another favourable aspect is the fact that the Gold Coast Airport is little more than ten minute drive from the hospital. The airport services the major cities including Sydney and Melbourne with flights to Adelaide and Canberra. As well international flights from the airport connect with New Zealand and various Asian destinations with a link to London. More information can be gained from the Gold Coast Air port web sites or from relevant carrier web sites.
