EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

The Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy applies to all existing staff, all new recruits, students on clinical placement, volunteers, contracted clinical staff (such as VMOs), and people on work experience working in NSW Health facilities.

Transmission of vaccine preventable diseases in health care settings has the potential to cause serious illness and avoidable deaths in patients, staff and other users of the health system, as well as others in the community.

The NSW Health Policy Directive PD2018_009 for Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination against specified infectious diseases provides a framework for immunisation and screening of health care workers, other clinical personnel and students to minimise the risk of transmission of these diseases. For more information please visit the NSW Health website.

Seasonal Flu Vaccination is provided free to all NSW Health Staff.

To find out more about this policy within Northern NSW or Mid North Coast Local Health Districts, please phone the coordinator for Tuberculosis and Occupational Infectious Diseases Screening & Vaccination on:
