Refugee Health

North Coast Public Health offers a free and confidential New Arrival Assessment Clinic. The clinic is located at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus, 345 Pacific Highway, Coffs Harbour.

02 6656 7676

The clinic introduces newly arrived refugees to health services in NSW. You can choose to attend the clinic if you wish, but don’t have to.

The health assessments do not affect your residency status in Australia, but are important for improving the quality of life for each refugee starting a new life in Northern NSW.

The services provided at this clinic include:

  • Medical consultation
  • Health Education and Information
  • Immunisations

All results and discussions with doctors and nurses are confidential.

An interpreter can be arranged if you need one. Please phone the clinic to arrange this before your appointment.

Patients can be referred to this clinic by non-government resettlement organisations.

The clinic does not provide ongoing health care after the initial medical assessment, referrals and immunisation catch up programs are completed.

We can help you to find a permanent General Practitioner (GP) in the community.
