Access to information – patient records and public information
As a public health organisation, Northern NSW Local Health District holds medical information about our patients, as well as information which relates to the operation of our hospitals and public health services.
Patient medical records
Individuals can apply to get a copy of their personal medical record or health information.
Access to Medical Records in NSW is regulated by the Health Records and Information Privacy Act NSW 2002 (HRIPA) and the NSW Health Privacy Manual

Public access to government information
Members of the public can apply to gain access to government information in NSW under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA)
