Hospitals in Northern NSW consistently rate amongst the best in the state when it comes to cleanliness, according to independent patient experience surveys.
And it’s no wonder – we have incredible cleaning staff who work hard to keep our facilities hygienic and safe for our patients and staff!
Casino and District Memorial Hospital (CDMH) showed appreciation for their cleaning staff this month, celebrating International Cleaners’ Day with a BBQ and individual thank you gifts.
“Our hospital cleaning staff are truly amazing,” Darren Skinner, CDMH Deputy Director of Nursing, said.
“Their dedication and the outstanding job they do every day make them the heartbeat of our hospital. We deeply appreciate them and are grateful for their incredible commitment to Casino Hospital's staff, patients, and visitors.”
Up at Tweed Valley Hospital, cleaner Renae Castle, said her team enjoy the work of keeping the hospital clean and hygienic.
“We have fun at work. We have a strong work ethic and are a wonderful team, but most of all, we enjoy ourselves," Renae said.
