EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Maclean Hospital - Community Information Session
Published: 22 Feb 2020

Community members are invited to attend a Community Information Session about the proposed changes at Maclean District Hospital.

The meeting will be held at the Maclean Services Club, 36-38 River Street Maclean, from 3.30m to 5.00pm on Wednesday 26 February.

Northern NSW Local Health District Director of Clinical Operations, Lynne Weir, said the meeting would be a good opportunity for people to hear directly from the Health service about what the change involves.

"We want to reassure the community that this change will not affect the level of patient care, or our commitment to the long term viability of Maclean District Hospital," Ms Weir said.

"If you have questions about the ward reconfiguration, please come along.

We'll have representatives from both the hospital and the Health District present."

For more information, please phone Dan Madden, General Manager Clarence Health Service, on 6641 8411.
