EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A desire to serve rural communities encouraged Jo McGoldrick to join the NNSWLHD.

Jo was appointed to the role of Director Corporate Services in October.

“I’m really looking forward to bringing my passion and knowledge locally,” Jo said.

Jo’s background is in community development. She’s worked alongside a diverse range of professionals within both local and state government. Most recently at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, Jo managed the state-wide Bushfire Local Economic Recovery program.

Jo also led the recovery efforts of the 2019–20 bushfires for Kempsey Shire Council.

Previously, Jo has worked throughout the North Coast as Manager Biosecurity and Emergency Services for North Coast Local Land Services.

“With such a supportive Corporate Services and Executive Team, I look forward to supporting and enhancing the enabling services for the LHD,” Jo said.

Jo’s responsibilities include Capital, Assets and Resources, Planning, Digital Health Services, Procurement, Environmentally Sustainable Healthcare, Service Redesign and Innovation, and Property Services.

Jo encourages you to say hello and share your local knowledge if you see her around your facility.
