Leanne Friis

In January we farewelled Leanne Friis, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Manager, after a long career in health.

In 1993, Leanne began work as a speech pathologist and primarily worked in community-based services, in roles ranging from clinician to team manager and finally as service manager.

Leanne was instrumental in setting up the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in 2021 which included new services such as the Community Adolescent Specialist Eating Disorders Service, SafeGuards and the CAMHS Crisis and Assessment Team (CAAT) in 2023.

Leanne developed many staff, as well as several emerging leaders and managers, and we’ll miss her energy and courage. We wish Leanne all the best in her future endeavours.
