EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

COVID-19 Update: 28 October
Published: 28 Oct 2021

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 reported for Northern NSW Local Health District in the 24 hours to 8pm 27 October.

The total number of cases in the District since 16 June remains at 122.

As restrictions continue to ease in NSW and we transition to living with COVID-19, it is vital that people continue to practise COVID-safe behaviours.

This includes coming forward for testing, wearing a mask where required, maintaining physical distancing, particularly in indoor settings, washing hands regularly or using hand sanitiser, and always checking in using the Service NSW app.

Even if you are fully vaccinated you should get tested and isolate immediately if you have even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms - a slightly runny nose, a scratchy or sore throat or generally feeling under the weather.

There are more than 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. Find a clinic at COVID-19 testing clinics or contact your GP.
