In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

215 cases of #COVID19 were recorded to 8pm last night. 8 of these cases are being treated in hospital, with 1 of them in the ICU. The cases are located in the following Local Government Areas:

Northern NSW Local Health District is urging people to get tested for COVID-19 at the first sign of symptoms and isolate until a negative result is received.

All Northern NSW testing clinics are operating under usual operating hours over the holiday period.

Please book your COVID-19 vaccination, or booster if you are eligible, at any of the many GPs, Pharmacies and NSW Health clinics in the region. It is now possible to book Pfizer vaccines for 5-11 year olds. Book today at the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder.

Anyone aged 18 and over is eligible for their booster five months after their second dose. Bookings are recommended to ensure you secure your preferred timeslot.
