EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

Northern NSW Local Health District encourages anyone with even mild symptoms, or who have had known contact with a COVID-19 case, to please get tested as soon as you can.

COVID-19 can cause serious illness, however vaccinations, and early diagnosis and medical care will reduce your chance of becoming severely unwell.

We encourage people to get tested as soon as symptoms develop, to allow positive cases to be connected with appropriate care and support, and to reduce the risk of any outbreaks among our vulnerable communities.

COVID-19 testing clinics are open seven days a week at Lismore Base Hospital, Byron Central Hospital, North Street Grafton and The Tweed Hospital.

If you are unable to attend a testing clinic, please take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and isolate while awaiting your result.

If you test positive using a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), please register your result with Service NSW.

COVID-19 boosters are available at vaccination clinics throughout the region. If you are eligible for a booster, please book without delay through the COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder.

NSW Health vaccination clinics are now administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to children aged five to 11 years old. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to make a booking for vaccination at any NSW Health vaccination clinic, at a general practitioner, or a community pharmacy.

Case data and other COVID-19 information is available on the NSW Government website.
