EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

COVID-19 update: 19 November 2021
Published: 19 Nov 2021

Northern NSW Local Health District continues to urge people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and to seek testing immediately if symptoms develop.

Three new cases of COVID-19 were reported for NNSWLHD to 8pm 18 November.

One of the new cases is in the Lismore Local Government Area (LGA), a household contact of an existing case.

Two of the new cases are in the Tweed LGA and are currently under investigation.

There have now been 187 cases in the District since 16 June.

Even if you are fully vaccinated you should get tested and isolate immediately if you have even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms – such as a slightly runny nose, a scratchy or sore throat or generally feeling under the weather.
