The case is in the Lismore Local Government Area and is a household contact of an existing case. There have now been 176 total cases in NNSWLHD since 16 June.
There are 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. To find your nearest clinic visit the NSW Government website or contact your GP.
Mobile vaccination clinic returns to Grafton
The mobile vaccination van, a collaboration with Social Futures, is in Ballina today, and will visit two locations in Grafton later this week, offering both first and second dose vaccinations to local residents.
Ballina:
Tuesday 16 November, 9.30am to 2.30pm, Porter Park, Daydream Ave, West Ballina
Grafton:
Thursday 18 November, 9.30am – 2.30pm, Rotary Park, Cnr Through Street and Skinner Street, South Grafton
Friday 19 November, 9.30am – 2.30pm, Bob Liddiard Park, South Grafton
These clinics are providing Pfizer vaccinations for anyone aged 12 and over. No appointment is needed. Please bring your Medicare Card if you have one.
If you have not yet received a vaccination, it’s not too late.
Vaccination provides high levels of protection against COVID-19, reducing your chance of hospitalisation and death by as much as 90 percent after two doses.
Statistics show that during the recent peak of COVID-19 cases during the Delta outbreak in NSW, of the 8,660 people who needed to be admitted to hospital between 16 June and 7 October, only 5.7 percent were fully vaccinated, and just three percent of those in ICU were fully vaccinated.
