EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

There are 18 COVID-19 positive patients in hospital in Northern NSW, with three of these in ICU.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms it is still important that you have a test and self-isolate until you receive a negative test result.

You can get tested at any of our hospital testing clinics seven days a week. Other clinics may have reduced hours, so please check before attending.

We’ve been advised that the Ballina 4Cyte Pathology drive through testing clinic will not be open today, Saturday 1 January or tomorrow, Sunday 2 January.

Find your closest testing clinic on the NSW Government website or contact your GP.
