EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Our Podiatrists work with clients who have foot and leg disorders to improve their mobility and enhance independence. This is achieved through the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of pathological foot problems and associated restrictions in function.

The Podiatry service provides ulcer debridement and offloading, diabetes foot assessments, general foot care, orthotic treatment, and help with applications for footwear.

The High Risk Foot Service is a multi-disciplinary service that treats diabetes-related foot ulcerations, infections and acute Charcot Arthropathy.

Clients who are identified as being high risk will be given priority, with other referrals assessed by clinical need.

The general podiatrist works closely with the High Risk Foot Service to provide holistic and continuity of care. All initial appointments require a referral from another healthcare professional.

Our service accepts clients of all ages, from paediatric to elderly.

  • Referral to High Risk Foot Service: you will need a referral from a GP or other health professional. This service accepts referrals for ulceration, infection and acute Charcot’s arthropathy only.
  • Referral to the podiatry clinic: You will need a referral from a GP or health professional. Clients need to have a pension or health care card, to be a resident of NSW and to have a chronic health condition that adversely affects their feet. Examples of conditions include diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, peripheral arterial disease and peripheral neuropathy. The podiatry clinic also treats paediatric clients with foot pain and developmental disorders.
