Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists help people of all ages participate in work, school and fun activities, personal care or household tasks and roles that are important to them. We refer to these as “occupations”.
Occupational Therapists provide assessment for people of any age. We look at how your health condition limits your ability to perform independently and safely in meaningful occupations. We then provide training, therapy, equipment and home modifications to help you maximise participation and performance in occupations you like or need to participate in that are appropriate to your stage in life.
Occupational Therapists also work closely with other health professionals, your family or carers to help you achieve your health and lifestyle goals. Services are provided in hospital, community health centres and your home.
