EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

The Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) assesses the needs of frail older people and helps arrange access to available care services appropriate to their needs.

ACAT determines eligibility for Commonwealth subsidised Aged Care Services, such as Community Home Care Packages and Residential Aged Care Services. The target group are people with an aged related condition.

To request an assessment from ACAT, individuals, family members, carers and Aged Care Service providers can contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/

All requests and referrals must go through My Aged Care in the first instance, on 1800 200 422.
