EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Our sexual assault service provides a 24-hour crisis response team for children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual assault, indecent assault, or attempted sexual assault.

We also provide counselling and forensic medical assessment and care immediately after sexual assault and in the following weeks and months.

We provide information and support for non-offending parents, carers, partners, siblings or family members of children or adults who have been affected by sexual assault.

We can also provide follow up support, advocacy and information about the legal process, and consultation and advice to professionals.

Children and young people must be referred through the Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP). Adults can self-refer or be referred by police, medical staff or other services.

If you have a medical emergency, please present to your nearest hospital emergency department.
