EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Our Women’s Health Clinic provides a wide range of services for women aged 14 and over. These include: Cervical Screening Test (which replaces the pap smear test), breast checks, pregnancy testing and counselling, postnatal checks, post termination checks, continence assessment and sexual health screening. Clients can also access IUD (intrauterine device) insertion and contraceptive implants through the Women’s Health Clinic.

We also provide information on any women’s health issues, eg menstruation, menopause, osteoporosis, contraception, relationships and lifestyle issues.

The Yamba Clinic is conducted by a Women’s Health Clinical Nurse Consultant, and a doctor is also linked to the service. The doctor provides consultations from the Grafton Clinic.

We also provide health education and group programs on Women’s Health issues. Please contact us for more information.

Individuals can self-refer, and we also accept referrals from GPs and other health providers.
