EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000). It’s a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For other urgent medical issues, go to an Emergency Department.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

The Osteoporosis re-fracture prevention clinic provides assessment and management of patients who fracture a bone from a minor trauma, in order to reduce their risk of further fractures.

The clinic accepts patients aged over 50 years, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients aged over 40.

Patients are referred from the Emergency Department, inpatient units, or their General Practitioner, and are reviewed by a Staff Specialist Physician to begin treatment if required. Our Fracture Liaison coordinator also provides bone health education and referral to other services.
