Child and Family Counselling
The Child and Family Counselling Service (CFCS) works with children aged 0-12 years and their families and carers, providing interventions to improve your health, well-being and functioning.
The CFCS provides both primary and specialist secondary care for children with more severe and complex psychological presentations.
We provide assistance for dealing with a range of behavioural difficulties, stress, anxiety and mood related problems. Where possible, the Child and Family Counselling Service works together with schools and pre-schools.
We accept referrals from parents and carers, Child and Family Nurses, Intra community health team, Medical Practitioners, Family and Community Services, preschools, day care centres, schools and other community organisations.
CFCS does not provide a crisis mental health service. If you or your loved one needs urgent medical care, please phone triple zero (000). To access mental health services, phone the Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511.
