- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

EAP provides short term counselling and support for all employees and their immediate family members. It is a free and confidential service and can assist with professional counselling for personal or work-related problems. Face to face counselling is available.
PLEASE NOTE: staff wishing to access this service must do so in their own time. Appointments must not be made in working time unless the staff member has gained approval from Executive as per the EAP Policy. More information about EAP is available on our staff intranet
- Fitness Passport

Fitness Passport is a corporate health and fitness program that allows its members to access a wide range of local health and fitness facilities.

- Salary packaging

Salary Packaging is an Australian Taxation Office approved way of reducing your taxable income and thereby increasing your take-home pay.
As an employee of NNSWLHD, you are eligible to Salary Package the following benefits each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year (1 April to 31 March):
$9,010 tax-free cap on mortgage, rent, credit card, and other bills
Plus $2,650 on meal entertainment

Leave Options
We offer a full range of paid and unpaid leave options, depending on your employment, view the remuneration and conditions here.
- Allocated day off (ADO)

One day's leave for each four-week roster cycle.
- Annual leave

20 days per year plus a bonus extra payment of 17.5% on top of your annual leave for qualifying staff
- Domestic and family violence support

Access to up to 10 days paid leave for matters relating to domestic and family violence
- Family, community services, personal and carers' leave

Access to leave for special purposes
- Maternity, parental, adoption leave

Up to 12 months parental or adoption leave with 14 weeks paid maternity leave after 40 weeks of continuous service. Paid leave is also available for miscarriage and pre-term birth
- Long service leave

Two months long service leave after 10 years’ service and five months for each 10 years’ service thereafter with pro rata long service leave for employees who work part time
