Recipients of the Staff Appreciation Awards are selected from peers nominating their colleagues for the outstanding dedication and care they give to patients.
For many years, these awards have been supported by the Summerland Credit Union and are held at various times at sites across the District.

Clarence Health Services’ Staff Appreciation Awards were held at Grafton and Maclean hospitals on 3 June.

Lismore Base Hospital
The Lismore Base Hospital Staff Appreciation Awards were presented on 30 May 2024. General Manager Ian Hatton said once again, they received a record-breaking number of nominations, with 49 nominations received from staff this time!
“These are your awards, and it is wonderful to see you appreciating your colleagues and submitting nominations,” Ian said.
“I wish to thank the sub-committee for the time they spent reviewing the nominations. They had a difficult decision – there were many worthy nominees.
“Thank you also to the 180 staff who were able to attend the C5 auditorium for the Awards – it was terrific to see the auditorium packed.
“Thank you also to the Summerland Bank for their generous and continued sponsorship of these staff awards.”
