North Coast Cancer Institute – Lismore Cancer Care and Haematology Unit

The Cancer Care and Haematology Unit provides consultation and review by Consultants, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapies as well as a range of supportive therapies such as blood transfusions to patients with solid tumours, haematological malignancies and patients with non cancerous blood disorders.

Radiation Oncology Services are also provided by Medical Specialists. Furthermore, this unit is actively involved in new drugs by participating in clinical trials for the above indications.

Radiation Therapy is provided with state-of-the-art linear accelerators, CT scanning and pre-treatment imaging.

Specialist Allied Health staff are on-site to provide supportive care at the centre.

    • Access to the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit is by referral to the Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists or Haematologist
