Physiotherapy

Child and Family Physiotherapists help children to improve muscle tone, strength, posture and coordination. Where possible, we work to prevent any delays in development and reduce the impact of developmental problems in children.

We provide support for children who may have neurodevelopmental, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions.

Our physiotherapists can help with:

  • children who have difficulties with gross motor development, balance and coordination,
  • pain and dysfunction from injury or illness,
  • screening and support for infants born prematurely or developmentally at risk,
  • assessment and treatment for common paediatric issues such as plagiocephaly, tallipes, hip and mobility issues.

We work closely with the child therapy team and with paediatricians to provide a family-centred approach.
