French Toast Bites

Tasty breakfast inspired snack that you can trial in the lunchbox.

EVERYDAY FOOD: SCHOOL CANTEENS

Ingredients

1 egg (beaten)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence)
A pinch of cinnamon
2 slices of bread

Method

Mix egg, vanilla, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Soak each slice of bread in eggy mixture and place in a non-stick frypan.
Cook on medium heat for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
Serve warm or cut into squares for a lunchbox snack.

You may wish to use these as a dipper in custard or experiment with fruity flavours in the eggy mixture. A splash of orange juice or some blitzed berries would probably work great!
