2017 Women’s Health & Wellbeing Expo
You go girls!
The 2017 Women’s Health & Wellbeing Expo was held in conjunction with International Women’s Day celebrations and the Lismore Women’s Festival, held in March.
The Lismore Women’s Festival was started by YWCA NSW and now had 45 women from community organisations, business and community members putting on a week of activities, workshops, forums and events by women for women from March 5th – 12th and encompassing International Women’s Day.
The day was organised and coordinated by the Rotary Club’s ‘women in business networking group’, Stella Networking, in partnership with other women, as one of the many Festival activities.
Laurel Rogers, Aboriginal Health Promotion Officer and Susan Walker, Events and Marketing Officer from Health Promotion had an Information Table at the Expo held at the Lismore Workers Club. Laurel and Susan were kept busy promoting Health Promotion Programs, such as the ‘Get Healthy’ and Quit Smoking programs.
The day was very well attended by a wide cross section of community. There were approximately 30 information tables available to the public and other health professionals attending on the day. Women’s Health Expo is run during International Women’s week celebrations.
