Transition to Practice Program

The Northern NSW Local Health District offers Transition to Practice places for newly graduated Registered Nurses and Midwives across a number of health settings and facilities. The Northern NSW Local Health District covers a region stretching from Grafton in the south to Tweed Heads in the north and Urbenville and Bonalbo in the west.

Our region boasts some of the best, sun drenched stretches of beach anywhere in Australia.

We also have magnificent ancient rainforests and mountain ranges. The region is littered with large river systems which bring the crystal clear waters of the mountains all the way to the sea.

Transition to Practice Places and Interview Dates for 2019 Recruitment

Transition to Practice positions across NNSW LHD offer successful applicants a 12 month employment contract.  Applications are processed as part of the NSW Health state-wide recruitment for this program. Face to face interviews are the preferred option within NNSW LHD. Interviews via Skype may be granted upon special request.
