Harm Reduction | Needle and Syringe Program

The Needle Syringe Program (NSP) is a public health measure aimed at reducing the spread of blood-borne viruses such as HIV, Hep B & Hep C among people who inject drugs (PWID).

Maclean Harm Reduction Services include:

  • Free access to a range of injecting equipment, information, support, referral;
  • 24-hour fit pack vending machine. Due to COVID19 – all vending machine packs are currently subsidised ($1/pack).
  • 24-hour sharps safe-disposal bin.
  • Backup service for vending machine through Emergency Department.
