Our Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

The Nutrition and Dietetics Department provides nutrition services, including assessment, intervention, monitoring and education to inpatients at Lismore Base Hospital as well as some outpatients in order to improve their health and recovery. These services include:

  • Nutritional assessment and nutrition care planning of referred inpatients,
  • Coordinating nutrition care, including discharge planning with medical teams, nursing staff, and other allied health practitioners.
  • Clinical diets and nutritional supplements
  • Registration of patients to the Home Enteral Nutrition (HENs) program for nutritional supplements.
  • Specialist outpatient services in eating disorders and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy.
  • Referral to appropriate community dietetic, private dietetic, general practitioner, government, and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services.

Hours of Service: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
