Murwillumbah Hospital Physiotherapy – Adult

Physiotherapy assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions for any age group which may benefit by physiotherapy intervention. This usually involves a comprehensive assessment and development of an individual treatment plan in consultation with the patient. Most treatment plans involve education, self management strategies and specific exercise programs and often some other physiotherapy techniques.

  • 8.00am – 4.30pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Referral. Clientele include Adults. Babies and Children for short term conditions only.
  • Referral to service by GP, Specialist or other agency. The Physiotherapist / Physiotherapy Assistant will obtain client details including name, contact details and date of birth. The Physiotherapy Assistant will register details into Cerner/Pass and CHAPP. The client will be triaged and placed on a prioritised waiting list according to clinical need. When an appointment is available, the client will be contacted and given their appointment details.
