Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

The pulmonary rehabilitation program for outpatients provides supervised exercise with a Physiotherapist and Pulmonary Rehab Nurse, and education on how to modify risk factors, safe levels of activity, self- management and monitoring strategies. The program is suitable for most people living with or at risk of chronic respiratory conditions including COPD, bronchiectasis and emphysema.

The program is held on Wednesdays from 9:30am – 11:30am and 8 consecutive weeks are attended by each person, however this is flexible depending on an individual’s needs. The service also offers individual nurse assessment and education clinics as well as referral to other services as required.

  • Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation group: 9:30am – 11:30am Wednesday
  • Nurse Assessment and Education Clinics: 8.30am – 4.30pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Access Criteria: Referrals accepted from all sources for patients aged over 18. A written GP referral is required for the exercise component of program.
