Maclean Community Health StEPS Vision Screening

Statewide Eyesight Pre-schoolers Screening (StEPS) is a free population based vision screening program and is designed to identify childhood vision problems which cannot be detected by observation or behaviour. It provides Catch-up Clinics to eligible children who were absent when screeners attended their preschool and those children in the Primary screen who were identified with visual concerns are offered a Referral Clinic appointment with an Orthoptist.

These clinics are held throughout the year in Grafton and Maclean.

  • 8.00am – 4.30pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Targeted to Children 4 years old and enrolled at school the following year.
