Casino Hospital Physiotherapy – Children

Casino Hospital Physiotherapy – Physiotherapy services are provided for children under 18 years by a specially trained Paediatric Physiotherapist. This service provides assessment, education and treatment for musculoskeletal injuries, physical developmental issues, plagiocephaly, failures to meet physical developmental milestones, serial casting of developmental contractures. The Physiotherapist will ensure parents of infants are given appropriate information to monitor and assist with therapy at home between Physiotheapy sessions.

  • 8.30am – 5.00pm (Mon-Fri).
  • Service is available on Thursdays from 8.30am – 5.00pm
  • Each patient must have a referral from either: a Doctor, an Allied Health Professional (eg. Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist etc), community health staff, Child and Family Nurse, Mid-Wife or Paediatrician
  • Once the referral is received by reception staff, they then place the patient on the waiting list. The waiting list is prioritised by the Paediatric Physiotherapist, and the patient is seen according to clinical need. Reception staff contact the patient’s parents to make an appointment when one is available
