Casino Hospital Physiotherapy – AdultCasino Hospital Physiotherapy – Physiotherapy services are provided for a range of conditions including: musculoskeletal (muscle/joint/bone) intervention, pre and post natal care, neurological (head injury/stroke/nerve damage) intervention, cardiovascular & respiratory care, urogenital (women’s health) intervention, lymphodema management, rehabilitation and geriatric care, outpatient (general and rehabilitation) services, inpatient (hospital) services, falls prevention, health promotion and group activities (e.g. programs for people with chronic respiratory and cardiac conditions), equipment prescription and fitting for walking aides (e.g. crutches)
- Each patient must have a referral from either: a Doctor, an Allied Health Professional (eg. Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist etc), or Community Nursing staff
- Once the referral is received by reception staff, they then place the patient on the waiting list. The waiting list is prioritised by a senior physiotherapist, and the patient is seen according to clinical need. Reception staff contact the patient to make an appointment when one is available
