The position reports to the Chief Executive. The Chief Finance Officer is responsible for providing advice and assisting in the financial management of budget resources (recurrent and capital) and for leading and managing the delivery of financial management services and controls across the LHD.

James McGuigan has had experience in a variety of service industries including health and education. This service has been across different sectors of the service industry including public, not-for-profit and for-profit sectors.
Health experience has included senior management roles in the management of community health, aged care and acute hospitals services in both the public and private sectors.
James has attained a Masters of Business Administration (Strategy and Planning), Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Associate Diploma (Health Administration). Professional memberships include Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practices Accountants, Associate Fellow Australian College of Health Service Management and Associate Australian Institute of Management.
