Ngayundi Aboriginal Health Council
This Council provides a forum for members of the Bundjalung and Yaegl Nations in the NNSW LHD, and for Aboriginal people from other Nations who reside in the district, to participate in and provide advice on health service planning, development, delivery, evaluation and prioritisation with a view to attaining equality of health status and life expectancy for Aboriginal communities.
Four Ngayundi Community Meetings are held in different locations each year and are open to all Aboriginal people.

A Ngayundi Aboriginal Health Council Executive with members from across the District are appointed to meet in between community meetings to follow up on issues raised and inform Agendas for upcoming community meetings.
Ngayundi Aboriginal Health Council Executive held their first meeting for 2016 this week and confirmed the first Ngayundi Community Meeting for 8 March 2016 to be held at Namatjira Haven in Alstonville. Topics agreed for this upcoming Ngayundi Community Meeting include Integrated Chronic Care Program for Aboriginal People and the Mental Health Emergency Care Rural Access Program. Other discussion at the Ngayundi Executive meeting included the development of a NNSWLHD Reconciliation Action Plan and development for Guidelines for Sorry Business.
The following Ngayundi Executive were appointed until December 2015 and will continue in this role whilst a new Executive is confirmed.
